Madikwe Game Reserve
The
Wildlife
The reserve was established in 1991 as a joint partnership between the Northwest Parks and Tourism Board, local communities and the private sector.
The landscape can only be described as dramatic with mixed thorn and bushveld, interspersed by hills and the Marico river.
Madikwe is situated in South Africa’s North West Province and is classed as one of South Africa’s premier wildlife destinations.

Species includes the traditional Big 5 (Elephant, Lion, Black & White Rhino, Cape Buffalo and Leopard)
but also African Wild Dog, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Hyena and Cheetah
to make up the “Tremendous 10”.
